The Rogue Process

Step 1: Start the Conversation

Fill out our contact form or give us a call to set up a consultation. We'll ask the right questions to help determine the perfect van for your lifestyle. Whether you're interested in one of our signature layouts, custom design options, or a van we have in stock today—we’ll walk you through all the possibilities.

Step 2: Build Your Dream Spec

After narrowing in on the right model and use case, we’ll create a detailed custom spec sheet. This includes everything we discussed during your consult, plus a range of additional options, accessories, and features available across our builds. You'll get a clear picture of what's possible—and what's next.

Step 3: Lock It In

Once your spec sheet is finalized and we’ve gone through the total project cost, we move into the contract phase.

  • Financing customers: You’ll first complete a quick financing application on our website. From there, we’ll work with you to determine terms, eligibility, and your required down payment.
  • Cash buyers: We require an initial deposit at the time of contract. This allows us to source your chassis, order materials, and begin production.

Step 4: Design, Build, and Stay in the Loop

With your contract in place, our team kicks off your build. We’ll keep you updated at every milestone—when your chassis is sourced, during design meetings, after 3D renderings are complete, and throughout the entire production timeline.
At the halfway mark of the build, we collect an additional 25%, with the final 25% due upon completion.

Step 5: Delivery Day

As your van nears completion, we’ll schedule a final walkthrough and inspection (if desired), followed by pick-up or delivery right to your door.

  • Out-of-state customers: We’ll handle all the necessary paperwork so you can register your van in your home state. You’ll pay your local sales tax at that time.
  • California customers: We process all tax, title, and license fees at the time of final payment.

Every van comes with a full walkthrough (in-person or virtual), a comprehensive owner’s manual (both physical and digital), appliance warranties, four sets of keys with matching leather fobs, and all the essentials to hit the road: tool bag, filters, hoses, glycol, tire key, and more.
 

Plus, every customer receives our signature RVC Sabre Champagne Set and (coming soon) your very own Rogue Vans custom owner’s jacket.

Step 5.5: The Break-In Trip

Every new van needs a short “shakeout” period. If you're local, we recommend taking a weekend trip right after pickup. If you're out of state, we can handle the first 250 miles for you as part of our delivery process.
 

This break-in period helps us identify and resolve any small issues right away—before you’re deep in the backcountry. Rogue vans are complex ecosystems of high-performance parts working in harmony. Our builds are among the best in the country, but we believe in being honest: any fully custom vehicle needs time to settle. This is the Rogue way—transparent, supportive, and by your side the whole way through.

Step 6: Keep the Adventure Going

Your journey doesn't end when you drive off. Send us photos, tag us on your adventures, and if you ever want to add more upgrades or customizations—our door is always open. We're in this for the long haul with you.

 Most floorplans can be adjusted to fit specific requirements. Rogue stocks Mercedes Sprinter 144" and 170" wheelbase vans for production, but we also accept customer-supplied Sprinters and can build these floorplans into any van you bring to our shop.
